Scenes in Doctor Strange 2 Movie Considered Plagiarism Indie Game Titled Sword of Symphony

Sword of Symphony is a JRPG genre game with gameplay that takes inspiration from Nier: Automata and Final Fantasy. In the game, players will be able to attack enemies using magic, musical notation, accompanied by a soundtrack like a game with the concept of a rhythm game.

Initially, the game was developed as a developer's thesis project for a master's degree, and has now been in development for two years.

However, thanks to its unique and interesting gameplay, the game also went viral after the developer uploaded a gameplay video on his TikTok account.

Similar to the game, Doctor Strange 2 also features battles where the main character, Doctor Strange, fights against an evil version of himself using musical notation.

This is of course quite similar to the Swords of Symphony game which eventually caused controversy that Doctor Strange 2 was considered plagiarism in an indie game.

The existence of plagiarism in the film Cultural improvement by reshooting the film. Where the reshoot announcement turned out to be not long after the developer uploaded the gameplay video he had on his TikTok account.

Most of the musical notes from the battle scenes in Doctor Strange 2 are not in the main script and were only added during reshoots.

After that, various discussions related to the controversy were also widely discussed on social media.

Not a few fans of the Sword of Symphony game immediately played the game when they saw the battle scenes in the film.

Even now the comment column on the developer's TikTok account is filled with accusations of plagiarism in the film directed by Sam Raimi.

Speaking with Kotaku, developer Stephen Ddungu gave his response to the controversy.

surprised by the scene in the film. One of these new scenes was included in the film in a reshoot which takes place a few months after Ddungu uploaded his gameplay video on TikTok.

also stated that based on the information obtained, the scene was not in the original script. But only added during reshoots.

This makes the developer even more convinced that there is a "high possibility" of plagiarism in the film.

Currently, Disney and Marvel have not responded to the controversy.

Although unique, but not using musical notation seems to be a new thing. So do not be surprised if the suspicion is most likely coincidental and mere.
