Juventus vs PSV preparation and good news
Ahead of PSV Match, Motta Reminds Vlahovic Not to Be Anti-Criticism
Dusan Vlahovic is in the spotlight after failing to score for Juventus in the last two Serie A matches. Ahead of the match against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, the Serbian striker was asked not to be sensitive to criticism.
Having achieved two consecutive wins over Como and Hellas Verona at the start of the season, Juventus' progress slowed down after being held to a goalless draw by AS Roma and Empoli. Thiago Motta's team's position in the standings dropped from the top to fourth with eight points.
Vlahovic, who previously contributed goals in the first two matches, finally became a 'sacrifice' because he was unable to add to his goal collection. Juventus' failure to win seemed to be the 24-year-old's fault.
Motta himself does not think so, because for him Vlahovic still contributed to Juventus' clean sheet record so far. However, he also felt the need to emphasize that his players should not be bothered by the negative comments.
"Vlahovic is fine, it is important for him to accept criticism," said Motta, quoted by Football Italia.
"He has scored goals this season and will try to do it more often. The most important thing is that he continues with this spirit, trying to help the team. If we keep a clean sheet, it is also thanks to him."
"Clean passes will put him in the best condition to score goals. Football is a shared responsibility, so he must accept criticism and continue to do his job," Motta explained.
Juventus will face PSV at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday (17/9/2024) at 23.45 WIB.
Juventus Have Forgotten Empoli, Focus on PSV
Juventus are no longer thinking about the draw against Empoli. La Vecchia Signora is determined to bounce back in the match against PSV in the Champions League.
Juventus will host PSV in the first match of the 2024/2025 Champions League. The Juventus vs PSV duel will be held at the Allianz Stadium, Tuesday (17/9/2024) evening WIB.
Before facing PSV, Juventus' steps faltered in Serie A. The Bianconeri were held to a 0-0 draw by Empoli last weekend.
That was the second goalless draw in a row for Juventus. Sharpening the attack line is also homework for Juventus coach Thiago Motta.
"I can't wait to play this match and feel the emotion. This will be a great match between two teams that want to play. We will try to get a result, for us and the audience," said Motta as reported by Football Italia.
"Everything matters in football. We played well against Empoli, but didn't get the desired result. This chapter is over, so we will focus on tomorrow's match."
"We feel good. We've worked to feel this emotion and we're proud to be at this point against a top team. I want to see a great match and take it in the direction we want, not the one PSV wants," he said.
