6 Differences between TikTok Lite and Regular TikTok

1. Icons

The first difference between TikTok Lite and TikTok Regular is the app icon. At first glance it will definitely look very similar, but if you look closely there are differences.

The standard TikTok app icon comes with a TikTok symbol on a black background. Meanwhile, the TikTok Lite app icon also comes with the same icon and background. It's just that there is an additional lightning icon on the top left.

Because it is specially designed for low specification smartphones, TikTok Lite has a smaller size of only 20 MB.

3. User Interface

The two TikTok applications have a very similar appearance or appearance. Both TikTok Lite and TikTok Standard appear with 5 tabs at the bottom.

The five tabs are Home, Search, Upload, Inbox, and Profile. Even though they are the same, it turns out that there are differences between the two.

The only thing that is different is the inbox button icon section. The Inbox icon on the TikTok Lite application is in the form of a lightning bolt, while the Inbox icon on the Regular TikTok is an envelope.

The For Your Page tab is a special page that contains short video content that is displayed according to the user's activities, hobbies and preferences.

If you want to watch the next short video, all you have to do is swipe up on the screen. But if you want to watch the previous video, all you have to do is swipe down on the screen.

You can't just watch videos on the For Your Pages page. But friends can also like, comment or share on social media and chat applications.

5. Trimmed Features

The significant difference in application size will certainly affect the features brought by standard TikTok Lite and TikTok.

TikTok Regular has more complete features than TikTok Lite. In the TikTok Lite application, there are no Block List, Digital Wellbeing, LivePhoto, and Wallet features.

In addition, TikTok Lite does not have complete privacy features like the one in the Standard TikTok application.

Especially for TikTok Lite, there is only a privacy menu, namely three options, namely block other people, private account mode, and restrict people from searching for profiles.

6. Recording Duration

The final difference between the TikTok Lite and TikTok Standard apps is the recording duration.
